A very long, slow-moving conveyor passes through a curing and drying tunnel, it is built in 4 sections each with a variable speed. This enables the product to be 'separated' giving a better circulation of hot air. At the end of the process the gaps may be closed again using conveyor speed control. The rapid curing enables the customer to dispatch the product as it comes off the process.

Technology Used. There are several conveyor sections plus air knives, heaters and blowers. Large fans blow room temperature air over the product, to give any residual drying, cooling the product down for handling. All sections of the conveyor start and stop simultaneously, yet the speed of each may be adjusted. Each heater, blower or fan is selectable. A full length emergency stop is fitted. Pilz safety relays are used throughout. The conveyor is driven by Several Danfoss combined VLT motor/inverter drives, thus eliminating the need to mount separate inverters in the control cabinet, which also simplifies wiring.
