Hoist For Use In Clean Room.
Controls were developed for this and several other related projects.
The requirement was to eliminate personal
injury and prevent
spillage of an extremely expensive product
when transporting it from one process to another.
This hoist has horizontal and vertical up/down movements. When the operator releases
the control pendant - power is removed from
the motors after a predetermined ramp down and break
operation.Technology Used. A single inverter is used to control the horizontal or vertical movement via 2 three-phase motors. Changeover from one motor to the other is achieved using a Siemens 'logo' mini PLC and suitable isolating contactors which are monitored through the safety circuit. |
