Automatic Yarn Washer.
The client made a product which looks very much
like yarn wrapped around a large bobbin. One of
the byproducts from making this kind
of material is a waxy substance. The Yarn Washer
removes the waxy substance through a whole series
of wash, spin and dry cycles. It enabled the client
to produce and sell a completely new product range.
Technology Used.
The machine has eight motorised ball valves
- with sensing for open or closed positions,
a water tank, water pump, blower, heater &
thermostat, vibration sensors, vac pump, two-handed
start circuitry, and interlocking in both the up
and down positions as well as all the pneumatic
controls! All this is controlled using an expanded
Mitsubishi FX2n PLC.
